Mayowa Abisoye
Overholt Law LLP is pleased to announce that Mayowa Abisoye has joined us as an Articling Student.
As an internationally trained lawyer, Mayowa’s legal journey began with a focus on civil litigation and corporate compliance. Her practice involved preparing court processes, drafting agreements, and representing clients before the High Court of Lagos State and the Magistrate Court of Lagos State in Nigeria which are analogous to the Supreme Court of BC and the Provincial Court of BC. Her dynamic experiences have shaped her into a versatile legal professional, poised to tackle diverse challenges. Mayowa anticipates being called to the BC Bar in May 2024.
Before joining our firm, Mayowa worked as a privacy specialist in healthcare, bringing her in-depth knowledge to safeguard sensitive information, ensure compliance with ever-evolving privacy regulations, and playing a pivotal role in protecting clients’ interests.
Her passion for life extends far beyond professional pursuits. Beyond her career endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her family, eating good food and playing tennis.
