Roza Milani
Roza joined Overholt Law LLP as an associate after having articled with the firm. She offers a full range of services to employers and employees in all areas of labour and employment law. Roza strives to provide effective, proactive, and timely solutions for her clients that are tailored to their specific needs.
Roza graduated from the University of Ottawa with a designation in health law. Her paper regarding ethics and wellbeing was published by the Canadian Bar Association and received an honourable mention recognizing her for her important contribution to the issue of mental health in the legal profession.
Roza worked with a diverse clientele throughout her legal education. She was actively involved in her community by volunteering at Pro Bono Ontario and summered at two law firms, one of which specialized in management side labour and employment law. Roza was one of five students selected to be part of University of Ottawa’s employment law clinic fellowship program where she met clients from all walks of life and guided them through the complicated field of employment law.
Roza is fluent in Farsi and English. Prior to law school, she enjoyed a 6-year career as a lifeguard and swim instructor where she learned important life lessons by teaching the sport she holds so dear: firstly, to train smarter not harder, and secondly, that one of the most important things one can do in life is to exhale.
Outside the office, Roza enjoys taking long walks along the seawall, travelling to new destinations and inviting her friends, family (and of course their dogs) over for a night filled with laughter, wine and cheese.
